Beau Turner
Board Member — Community Outreach & Art/Culture Development
Beau Turner is an artist, builder, entrepreneur, and community leader whose work has been dedicated to transforming creative ideas into tangible experiences. As the owner of 757 Makerspace, he has spent years creating spaces where artists, inventors, entrepreneurs, and makers can collaborate, learn new skills, and bring ambitious ideas to life. His passion for creativity has helped establish 757 Makerspace as a cornerstone of the Hampton Roads creative community.
A longtime participant in the Burning Man community, Beau embraces the principles of art, self expression, and human connection as guiding forces in both his personal and professional life. He believes that the most meaningful ideas begin as something intangible before becoming something people can see, experience, and share. Whether helping build large scale art installations, creating immersive environments, or empowering others to bring their visions to life, Beau has a unique ability to transform the metaphysical into the physical through art and craftsmanship.
Beyond his work at 757 Makerspace, Beau has become a respected advocate for creativity throughout Hampton Roads. He has worked alongside artists, entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations, and civic leaders to strengthen the region's creative culture and encourage innovation. His ability to unite diverse groups around a shared vision has made him an effective spokesperson for the community and a trusted leader in initiatives that help make the 757 a more creative and connected place.
Beau's appreciation for house music began after attending his first Burning Man, where he discovered that the music represented far more than entertainment. He found a culture rooted in freedom, creativity, expression, and connection, values that continue to shape his vision today.
As a member of the Board of Directors for House Revival Project, Beau leads the organization's community outreach along with its art and culture development initiatives. His passion for collaboration helps transform events into immersive cultural experiences by connecting artists, community partners, and audiences in meaningful ways. He works to ensure that every event reflects the creativity, inclusivity, and sense of belonging that define both house music culture and the organization's mission.
Beau believes that strong communities are built when people are given the opportunity to create together. Through House Revival Project, he is committed to fostering spaces where art, music, education, and community intersect, inspiring others to imagine, build, and contribute to something greater than themselves.
