William Haskins, professionally known as DJ Class, is a respected steward of house music culture within the Hampton Roads community. As a member of the Board of Directors for House Revival Project, he serves as the organization's advisor on house music culture and history, helping ensure that its mission remains rooted in the values, traditions, and legacy that gave birth to the genre.
Having lived through the birth and evolution of house music, William offers a perspective that cannot be learned from books or documentaries. He has experienced the culture firsthand, witnessing its growth from its earliest days into the global movement it has become today. His knowledge is drawn from decades of living the music, supporting the community, and helping preserve the spirit that has defined house music since its beginning.
William began DJing at the age of 18 and, now at 67 years old, continues to perform on special occasions. His years carry wisdom that is reflected both in his performances and in his understanding of the music's history. Every set is rooted in authenticity and a deep respect for the culture that has shaped his life.
Within House Revival Project, William serves as the organization's advisor on house music culture and history while also coordinating talent bookings for its events. He is widely respected for his ability to assemble lineups that bring together exceptional local artists alongside nationally recognized talent, creating events that become legendary within the community. His instinct for pairing artists, understanding audiences, and building a musical journey has made him a trusted curator whose lineups consistently capture the true spirit of house music.
